To celebrate the 10th anniversary of our Coburg Street store, Number 21 Off-Licences proudly partnered with W.D. O’Connell Whiskey Merchants on a truly special exclusive release, a remarkable 10-Year-Old Single Grain Irish Whiskey, matured in a Madeira wine cask and bottled at natural cask strength.
Personally selected by John Kelly in 2021 to mark this milestone year, the whiskey showcases the rich character and individuality that make single cask bottlings so memorable. The influence of the Madeira cask brings layers of ripe stone fruit, caramel sweetness, toasted oak, and warming spice, complementing the smooth, elegant nature of the aged grain spirit.
This release was among the very first bottlings produced on the new bottling line at W.D. O’Connell HQ in Kilmacthomas, making it an especially meaningful collaboration for both teams.
Created exclusively for Number 21 Off-Licences and released in celebration of 10 years on Coburg Street, this bottling reflects both the Kelly family’s long history in Irish drinks retail and a shared passion for unique Irish whiskey releases.
The Kelly family’s connection to the trade dates back to 1898, when their merchant and wholesale business first opened in Tipperary Town. Four generations later, Number 21 Off-Licences has grown to fourteen locations across Munster, continuing that tradition with a strong focus on quality, independence, and exceptional Irish spirits.
Available exclusively through Number 21 Off-Licences stores across Munster.
